On January 15, 2013 State Police at Liberty arrested ALAIN DELMONT, age 44, of Woodbourne, NY after an investigation into the theft of several checks from a Mountaindale resident. Investigation revealed that over the course of the past several months, Delmont had stolen the checks, forged and cashed them at several locations throughout Sullivan County. In total, Delmont stole over $5300 from the victim’s checking account.
Delmont was charged with Grand Larceny in the third degree, twelve counts of Forgery in the second degree and nine counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fifth degree, and Petit Larceny. He was arraigned in the Town of Fallsburg Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with no bail set
