On July 19, 2012, the New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Chase Bunt, age 23, of Pine Bush, NY. Bunt was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child (felony) and as a Fugitive from Justice for a Sexual Assault that occurred in Bergen County, New Jersey.

State Police at Ellenville were alerted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office of an ongoing investigation involving Bunt having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female in Paramus, NJ. State Police at Ellenville, with the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, executed a search warrant at Bunt's home where he was taken into custody without incident.

Bunt was arraigned before town of Wawarsing Town Justice Dechon and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of 50K/100K bail where he awaits future court proceedings and extradition to New Jersey.
