On July 5, 2012, the Ulster County Family Violence Investigation Unit arrested Sarah E. Boucher, 21, of Saugerties, New York for Rape in the 1st Degree, a Felony and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Misdemeanors.
Boucher was arrested after an investigation into an allegation that she engaged in sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old boy.
Boucher was arraigned in the town of Ulster Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Boucher is scheduled to appear in the town of Ulster Court at 1:00 pm on July 10, 2012. The Ulster County Family Violence Unit includes members of the State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, town of Ulster Police and Ulster County Child Protective Services.
The case has been referred to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Bureau Chief A.D.A. Katherine Van Loan.
