Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - State Police charged 22 young adults with Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by a Minor in the public parking lots of the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center before the Lady Antebellum concert.
Attendees to concerts frequently picnic in the parking lots of the venue while waiting for the ticket gates to open. State Police observed numerous concert-goers drinking alcoholic beverages that were under the age of 21. Twenty-two people ranging in ages from 16-20 were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Bethel court for the offenses, which are a vioaltion of 65-C of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.
