Liberty man arrested for burglary

On Thursday May 24th Village of Liberty Police arrested Alfred Franklin after an investigation into a residential burglary to an apartment building in the Village of Liberty. Police began investigating when a village resident called police on May 3rd 2012 after returning home and finding her apartment had been entered and several items including a flat screen T.V., a laptop and money had been taken.

Franklin was arrested on May 24th by Village of Liberty detectives and was charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, grand larceny in the 4th degree, felonies and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree a misdemeanor. Franklin was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail to appear again in the Town of Liberty on May 29th 2012.
