Three Arrested for Drugs Following Vehicle Stop on State Route 17

State Police in Liberty announce the arrest of JOSE BRIGANTTI, 20, of Bronx, NY, DANA BAKER, 45, of Elmira, NY, and DAVID GUISEWHITE, 24, of Elmira Heights for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th degree.

BRIGANTTI was additional charged with Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree and Vehicle and Traffic infractions.

Troopers on patrol in the Town of Rockland stopped a vehicle for speeding on State Route17. During the ensuing investigation, Troopers seized more than four ounces of cocaine, more than 25 grams of marijuana and over $5000 in US currency. Additionally, BRIGANTTI was found to be wanted on two outstanding felony warrants from the NYPD.

The above defendants were processed at SP Liberty for the above charges, arraigned at Town of Rockland Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail to reappear in the Town of Rockland Court at a later date.
