District Attorney Jim Farrell announced today that Paul Curry, age 37, of Neversink, N.Y. entered a plea of guilty to Rape in the 1st Degree, a class B violent felony. Curry admitted to having sexual intercourse with a twelve year old child in the Town of Neversink on July 18, 2011.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Curry faces a minimum of 17 years in state prison and a maximum of 20 years in state prison with 20 years of post release supervision when he is sentenced on July 18, 2012, before County Judge Michael McGuire. Curry will also have to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law and was ordered to stay away from the victim. Curry was arrested on August 16, 2011, after an investigation by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department.
