Monticello man convicted again as head of huge drug conspiracy

Bloom was sentenced as a second felony offender having prior felony convictions for Driving While Intoxicated in 2007 in Queens County, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B felony, for which he received a sentence of 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison in 2002 in Sullivan County.

Farrell said, “Bloom was the head of the largest drug conspiracy that this county has seen, he distributed extremely large quantities of cocaine and ruined countless lives by his actions and today he was held accountable. The sentence here recognizes the seriousness of his criminal actions and I believe serves the interests of this community.”
