The State Police in Montgomery, NY announce the arrest of Matthew M Hunter, 26, of Middletown, NY. Hunter was charged with grand larceny in the third degree and falsifying business records in the first degree, both felonies.
The charges were subsequent to a two month investigation conducted by the State Police in Montgomery, NY, involving a local business in the Town of Newburgh, where Hunter was employed. It was determined that Hunter was fraudulently creating rental agreements to conceal the theft of currency and electronics.
Hunter was arraigned by Town of Newburgh Town Justice Martini and remanded to Orange County Jail on $750 cash/$1500 bond. Hunter is scheduled to appear in Town of Newburgh Court on 4/2/12 at 2:00 pm.
