Jeffersonville man arrested for fraudulent check

On Tuesday 11/19/11 Village of Liberty Police detectives arrested Patrick Kelly, 38 of Jeffersonville, after an investigation into a stolen and forged check. In late October Kelly cashed a stolen and fraudulent check at a local village business in the amount of $1,750.00.
Kelly was arrested on Tuesday without incident and was charged with Criminal possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree and Grand larceny in the 4th degree, felonies and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor.
Kelly was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
