On September 29, 2011, State Police in Wurtsboro arrested a man for DWAI drugs and other charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Mamakating. Daniel Rosas, an 18 year old Pine Bush resident, was stopped on Twin Lakes Trail for no plate lamps. Rosas was subsequently found to be in possession of marihuana.
Rosas was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of Drugs. While being processed at SP Wurtsboro, it was learned that Rosas was wanted by the Town of Shawangunk Police Department for Assault 3rd degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court and sent to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.
