Troopers in Sullivan County arrest four people for driving while ability impaired

Troopers in Liberty arrested Daniel Vantuyl, a 27 year old resident from Barryville, after reponding to a 911 poll for a vehicle in a ditch off of County Route 59 in the Town of Thompson. VanTuyl was arrested for Driving while Intoxicated and processed at SP Liberty. He was given an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Thompson Court at a later date.

On October 1, 2011, Troopers in Liberty repnded to a 911 poll fight at the Hotel Clair in Youngsville. Troopers developed information that one of the subjects left the hotel in an intoxicated condition. Troopers were given a description of the vehicle and then located that vehicle at a local gas station. The operator, Benito Lopez, a 38 year old resident of Jeffersonville, was arrested and charged with Felony Driving while Intoxicated. He was arraigned in the Town of Callicoon Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $500.00 bail.

On October 2, 2011, Troopers in Liberty stopped a vehicle on State Route 52 in the Town of Callicoon for failing to signal while making a turn. The operator, Brandon Peters, a 21 year old resident of Hortonville, was then arrested for Driving while Intoxicated.He was given an appearance ticket for the Town of Callicoon Court.

On October 2, 2011, Troopers from Wurtsboro responded to a 911 poll for a fight in the parking lot at Walmart in the Town of Thompson. Troopers located a vehicle which had struck a utility pole in the parking lot. The opeartor, Rosemary Muzuruk, a 58 year old resident from Ferndale, had gotten into a verbal argument and when the other subject left the scene in a vehicle, Muzuruk began following in her vehicle. Muzuruk was driving at an unsafe speed and then collided with the utility pole. Troopers arrested her for Driving while ability Impaired by Drugs. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Thompson Court on October 13.
