Napanoch woman accused of holding shotgun to mother's head

The New York State Police at Ellenville announced the arrest of Lois Lubrano age 41 of 190 Continental Road Napanoch NY. for Attempted Murder 2nd and Criminal Possession of Weapon 4th. The arrest followed a call through Ulster County 911

reporting a woman trying to kill her mother during a domestic dispute.

On June 30th, 2011 at approximately 9:50pm, the State Police at Ellenville responded to 190 Continental Road in Napanoch NY in regards to the 911 call. The Troopers found a 72 year woman at a neighbors residence advising that her daughter Lois

Lubrano, had started an argument with her which lead to the daughter holding a 12 gauge shotgun to her head.

The daughter repeatedly threatened to kill her while holding the gun. The mother was eventually able to escape the residence but as she ran for the door the daughter fired the shotgun at her attempting to kill her. The mother escaped

unharmed.

The troopers at the scene found that Lubrano had barricade herself in the residence at 190 Continental Road. State Police Hostage Negotiators and Special Operations Response Team responded to the scene.

Following three hours of negotions, Lubrano was taken into custody with out incident. Lubrano was arraigned before Town Justice Charles Dechon of the Town of Wawarsing Court and was remanded to Ulster County jail without bail.
