State Police in Liberty announce the arrest of Raymond Lynch, age 22, from Swan Lake, New York as a Fugitive from Justice, Assault 2nd, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Impersonation 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
The State Police in conjunction with Monticello Police Department were at the Shortline Bus Terminal, Village of Monticello, in attempt to locate a suspect traveling on a Shortline bus connected to a drug investigation.
Lynch matched the general descriptions of the suspect and when Troopers and Officers approached Mr. Lynch began to physically resist. After he was taken into custody he initially identified himself as his cousin and was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Further investigation positively identified Lynch and indicated he was wanted out of Clay County, Florida for violation of probation for a prior burglary arrest.
Mr. Lynch was arraigned in the Town of Fallsburg, before Justice Kalter and committed to the Sullivan County Jail.
