On Tuesday, May 3rd 2011, the New York State Police announced the arrest of Peter S. Gaeta Jr, age 19, of 1216 Indian Springs Rd Pine Bush, NY, for first degree rape 1st Degree, a class B felony.

On Sunday, May 1st,2011, state police at Ellenville received a complaint regarding the sexual assault of a 18 year old female that occurred in the Town of Shawangunk, NY at a private residence on the previous day.

An investigation by the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation revealed that the victim had been sleeping at the defendant’s residence after attending a small party.

The defendant was charged with the crime of rape due to the victim being incapable of consent because of the use of alcohol.

Peter S. Gaeta Jr. was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Justice Court before Town Justice Charles Decheon who released the defendant on $800 cash bail.
