MONTICELLO, NY — On December 18, George L. Cooke Elementary School’s family and friends gathered to watch and listen to Kindergarten through grade-five students, under the aegis of music teacher Dawn Clayton, perform their annual winter concert. Kindergarten students sang “Cancion de la Navidad” and “This Little Light of Mine,” as well as a scarf dance. First-graders sang “My Little Dreidl” and “Chime In,” and second- and third-graders sang songs including “Listen to the Jingles” and “The Little Snow Flake.” Fourth-grader Ethan Miros did a solo of “Jingle Bells” on his electric guitar and fifth-grader Erin Brawley did a solo of “The Little Drummer Boy” on the piano.
