What a weekend; I was up in Oneonta at my oldest friend's father's wedding. Katie and I have been friends since we were five years old. She moved on to my block and was riding her bicycle in front of my house. I went up to her and asked her to be my friend; 50 years later we are the best of friends, more like sisters. The groom was 75 and the bride 70 and the priest told them you were both lucky enough to have long loving marriages, both widowed and you found love again; you are blessed.

On Sunday I sold 50/50 raffles at the fundraiser at The Narrowsburg Inn. There were three 50/50’s and they totaled up to over $1,000. It was really hot, I think they said in the 90’s. What a great crew of people, so generous. Ned Lang did a great job on that pig and chicken, yummy.

Once again I made a error in my column, and thank you to Ed Kraack for pointing it out to me. There were 525 chicken ½ at the Fireman’s Field Day.

There will be a paint your own picture night on Tuesday, July 28 at the Lake Huntington Fire House, located at 70 County Route 116. It is from 6 p.m. until you are done (2-3hours normally). Artist Robin Nirvegna will provide the paint, brushes, canvas and instructions so that everyone leaves with their own work of art.
