PORT JERVIS, NY — The Port Jervis Humane Society, which has served the surrounding communities without government help or grants since 1959, is in what it describes as “a dire state of disrepair!”

To remedy the situation, it has established a building fund to help repair facilities from the indoor kennels and the outside dog runs to the cat cages and kitten housing.
