HONESDALE, PA — On Sunday, May 3, Honesdale High School freshman Mackenzie Porter, suffered a fracture in her back and a head trauma from doing what she loves, riding a horse. She is currently in ICU at Albany Medical Center with her family by her side. In the beginning of the school year her brother, Taylor, underwent multiple surgeries from a life-changing wrestling arm injury.

Mackenzie’s mother, Kim, has once again had to take off of work to sit by her child’s side. The community is being asked to help the Porter family with monetary donations while their lives are focused on supporting Mackenzie. Cards and donations can be sent to Vanessa DeGori/Milanville General Store, PO Box 7, Milanville, PA 18443. Checks should be made payable to Kim Porter.
