Pictured here at the Narrowsburg Airport in 1947 is the Piper Cub belonging to J. Frank Behling. Flying was very popular at the time, with many residents taking lessons from Bill Tyson, the instructor hired by Malcolm Dexter, the owner. Dexter had purchased the property and started the business he named “Resort Flying Service, Narrowsburg Airport.” The business thrived until Dexter’s tragic death in 1948.
