United Way presents 2014 Community Impact Awards

Posted

MONTICELLO, NY — Kaytee Warren, chief professional officer of United Way of Sullivan County, recently presented community impact awards grants to the Sullivan County Child Care Council and to Action Toward Independence to support programs that focus on helping children and youth succeed. The grants are given to address three critical areas that help improve the quality of life for local residents: fostering financial stability and self-sufficiency; promoting health and well-being; and helping children and youth succeed.

WJFF Radio Catskill also received a mini-grant for their Youth Radio Project, which gives youth the opportunity to develop communication and interpersonal skills, while keeping them actively engaged in physical and social activities.

Community Impact grants are awarded every year and strive to make permanent positive changes in our community.
