LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — Sullivan County Child Passenger Seat program will conduct a child safety seat check-up event on Friday, September 19 at the Loch Sheldrake Firehouse. There will also be a health fair inside the fire hall. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment, to check car seats for proper installation and advise parents and caregivers on how to choose the right car seats and install them properly in their vehicles. The event, which is free to the public, is part of Sullivan County Public Health Services participation in a statewide effort during National Child Passenger Safety Week (September 14-20) and National Seat Check week to improve the safety of New York’s children.
