Western Sullivan Public Library announces ‘how-to’ writer’s series
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — The Western Sullivan Public Library is announcing a series of “how-to” writer’s presentations covering topics such as self-publishing and memoir writing. Louis Alexander, author of “Echoes from a Small Country Town,” will present memoir writing on Tuesday, August 12 at the Delaware Free branch in Callicoon at 6 p.m. Local author Myron Gittell will discuss how to self publish on Wednesday, September 10 at the Tusten-Cochecton branch in Narrowsburg at 6:30 p.m. On September 18 at 6:30 p.m., at the Jeffersonville branch, Elizabeth Rose will read from her new book, “Yo Miz!” which is a memoir of her year teaching at 25 different high schools in Manhattan. And on October 3 at 6:30 p.m., Robert Kopecky, a three-time survivor of near-death experiences, will read from his book, “How to Survive Life (and Death): A Guide for Happiness in this World and Beyond” at the Tusten-Cochecton branch in Narrowsburg.
