LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Emergency preparedness, hiking and weather were not only merit badges, but a way of life, as Shohola Troop 76 persevered rain, tornado warnings, flooding and mud at summer camp this year. Twenty-eight members of the troop, along with their scoutmaster and two assistant scoutmasters, spent a challenging week at Camp Onteora in Livingston Manor. Assistant Scoutmaster and Advancement Chairman Ron Miller proudly reported that 123 merit badges were earned, along with a number of rank advancements.
