MONTICELLO, NY — Gordon and Henry MacAdam will present a family memoir-making program at the Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library on Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. The MacAdam brothers grew up in Monticello and over the course of several years developed a detailed family history spanning four generations.

Their book, “Family Remembrances: An Account of Our Irish Ancestry in the Catskill Mountains, NY,” traces their mother Kathleen MacAdam’s Irish ancestors living on the family homestead on Rose Valley Road. Henry and Gordon will touch upon the history of their own family during this program but will also share information about the process they undertook to locate and collect the information.

Their book is available in the library’s Local History Collection, donated by Gordon and Henry MacAdam. For information call 845/794-4660. This program is free and open to the public.
