MONTICELLO, NY — The Adult & Continuing Education Program at Sullivan BOCES is now accepting students for its Dog Obedience Course starting on July 15. The course will run on Tuesdays, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Dogs must be over four months old with proof of rabies and canine distemper shots. The first session will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and will include a demonstration so do not bring your dog to the first session. After the first session, participants will be required to purchase a suitable collar and a leash that is appropriate for the individual dog. List dog’s name, breed and age.
Participants will work with their dogs to learn the following commands: sit, heel, sit-stay, down, down-stay, stand, recall and more. The cost of the course is $135.
