CCE offers Elder Law Forum for Estate Planning

MONTICELLO, NY — Caregivers, seniors and the public are invited to attend a free Elder Law Forum on Thursday, July 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County’s Caregiver Resource Center. The forum will share the knowledge and expertise of four esteemed attorneys on various aspects of estate planning. Presenting will be Frances Clemente, Esq., Stefanie A. Sovak, Esq., Steven N. Mogel, Esq. and Richard Zirt, Esq.

Participants will have the opportunity to raise concerns and ask questions This class will be held at the Ted Stroebele Center on Jefferson Street.

Topics covered will include creating a basic will, establishing the financial power of attorney, advanced directives (a health care proxy and living will) and trusts and bankruptcy in later years.
