ALBANY, NY — Realtors from the Sullivan County Board of Realtors (SCBR) recently traveled to the state capitol for an event called Lobby Day to meet with Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther and Jessica Cherry, legal counsel from Sen. John Bonacic’s office. They discussed ways of keeping the dream of home ownership alive. Topics addressed included keeping closing costs down for homeowners, ensuring that FHA loans are affordable for buyers and the installation of fire sprinklers in new home construction. They also discussed the matter of proposed casinos in Sullivan County.
