Tri-State Chamber fetes local businesses

MATAMORAS, PA — On Saturday evening May 17 at its 24th annual spring banquet, the Tri-State Chamber of Commerce honored more than a dozen local businesses with its annual Hall of Fame and “Bizzy” awards.

Those businesses receiving special “Bizzy” recognitions for 2014 are: best business logo, Center for Developmental Disabilities of Pike County; best business website, Safe Haven Pike County; best new business, A Taste of Sicily (Port Jervis); best small business, V. Baras Architects (Port Jervis); best medium business, Gillinder Glass (Port Jervis); best large business, Kolmar Labs (Port Jervis); best curbside appeal, Laurel Grove Florist (Port Jervis); best community service, Neversink Media Group (Port Jervis); best interior design, V. Baras Architects; best social networking, Kittatinny Canoes; best non-profit, Humane Society of Port Jervis; best overall business, Access Physical Therapy (Port Jervis).

Hall of Fame awards went to The River Reporter, The Erie Hotel and Restaurant of Port Jervis, the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing in Matamoras, Frontier Communications of Middletown, NY, Bavoso & Plotsky attorneys at law of Port Jervis, Zitone Construction and Supply Co., Inc. of Montague, NJ and the William F. Carroll Agency of Port Jervis.

The evening ended with a silent auction and dancing.
