BLOOMINGBURG, NY — The Sullivan County Human Rights Commission will sponsor the second annual Eileen Haworth Weil Scholarship brunch in memory of Weil’s tireless work as a community activist. It will be held Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Eagle’s Nest.
Paul Austin, artistic director of the Liberty Free Theatre and Sullivan County’s human rights commissioner, will be the keynote speaker. The gathering will honor Priscilla Bassett, Gladys Walker and Matthew Migliaccio for their dedication to human rights.
Tickets cost $40 per person. Scholarship funds raised aid Sullivan County Community College students going on to a four-year degree. For information or for reservations email Judy at work4tolerance@aol.com.
