Free gardening training: Go from a brown thumb to a green thumb

FERNDALE, NY — The first of three free hands-on instructional trainings to teach the public about gardening will be held on Wednesday, April 2. The classes will be taught by Sullivan County Master Gardener Volunteers at the Gerald Skoda Extension Education Center.

“Soil, Water & Sun!” is on April 2; “Weeds, Shoots & Flowers!” on May 7; and “Designing, Digging & Delegating!” on June 4. All classes will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendees will learn the basics of caring for a garden from start to finish. Those who successfully complete all three classes will receive a completion certificate and a special gift from Sullivan Renaissance.
