REGION — Celebrate the Upper Delaware River region and the 20 year anniversary of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy (DHC) at the seventh annual Foods of the Delaware Highlands Gala on April 26 at 5 p.m. at the Settlers Inn in Hawley, PA. The event features a four-course farm-to-table dinner and wine tasting followed by a live auction.
The nonprofit DHC works in partnership with landowners and communities of the Upper Delaware River region to conserve the natural heritage and quality of life. The theme of the gala dinner is “Love where you live!”
Gourmet cuisine will be prepared by Settler’s Inn chef and conservancy board member Grant Genzlinger and his staff using locally grown ingredients. Menu highlights include Blooming Grove troutlings with tomato culi and spring lamb with white bean cassoulet. Vegetarian options are also available. The live and silent auctions offer selections including a one-week stay in an apartment in Rome, cooking lessons at the Culinary Institute of America, a relaxing getaway at the Lodge at Woodloch, and more. Visit www.DelawareHighlands.org in early April to view the full slate of auction items.
Gala tickets cost $150 per person, which includes a $90 charitable gift to the conservancy. Reserve your seat or sponsor the gala by contacting the conservancy at info@delawarehighlands.org or 570/226-3164 or 845/583-1010.
