HONESDALE, PA — At a recent meeting local church pastors elected new officers for the Honesdale Area Ministerium. Rev. Kenneth Buckwalter, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, was named president; Fr. Gregory Reichlen, of St. John/St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Parish is the new vice president; Pastor Marge Allgeier of White Mills United Methodist Church remains as secretary; Fr. Edward Erb, Grace Episcopal Church, was named treasurer; and Clyde Kreider of First Presbyterian Church acts as assistant treasurer.

The purpose of the Ministerium is to bring together member congregations in the community through outreach and worship. The Ministerium shares worship together particularly on the Sundays during the season of Lent, sponsors the annual Honesdale area CROP Walk, which raises money for the hungry around the world, and through offerings and donation provides for other needs in the community.
