Workshop on protecting our drinking water


LORDS VALLEY, PA — The Pocono Source Water Collaborative will sponsor “Protect Your Own Drinking Water: Our Most Important Resource” to educate the residents of Pike County about the importance of clean drinking water.

The program will take place on Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Pike County Training Center, Route 739. The workshop date coincides with the United Nations World Water Day. The snow date is March 29.

The program will address private well maintenance and water quality, the importance of protecting the source of your drinking water, how community associations can protect their drinking water and how we can work with municipal officials to protect our drinking water.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required by March 19.
