BETHANY, PA — The first annual Soup-er Sunday, a fundraiser for the Bethany Library, will be held on February 23 at 11 a.m. for take-outs, or from 12 noon to 3 p.m. to eat in at the library/Bethany town hall, located at 8 Court St. Guests can choose from 17 varieties of homemade soups.

“The fundraising committee has put together a wonderful selection of soups, and this will be a great opportunity for neighbors and friends to get together and have some hot soup during this long, cold winter,” said Jennifer Lenczewski, president of the Bethany Library Board.

Soups can be ordered ahead of time to take away at a cost of $10 per quart. Or visitors can dine upstairs for $3 for a full-size bowl, or two bowls for $5. To order in advance call, Christopher Peroni at 570/251-4346. For a list of soups, visit the library’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/pages/Bethany-Public-Library/110814585596564.
