HAWLEY, PA — The Department of Health’s Special Kids Network, in partnership with the PA Elks Home Service Program, will host a Parent Youth Professional Forum (PYPF) on Saturday, March 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Wallenpaupack High School cafeteria, 2552 Route 6, Hawley. The snow date is March 8.
The topic is the Affordable Care Act, and the speaker is Athena Smith Ford, the advocacy director for PA Health Access Network. There will be a light lunch served, networking time and resource tables.
The forum will serve as a gathering place for families of children and youth with special health care needs and disabilities, community service providers and other stakeholders. It will provide opportunities to discuss overarching issues, and seek to increase awareness of and access to comprehensive information about services and programs.
