HONESDALE, PA — The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the Wayne County Community Foundation recently awarded a grant to Marci Jones’ class at the Stourbridge Primary Center. The funds will be used to purchase monarch butterfly eggs used as part of an integrated reading/science program activity. The foundation’s advisory committee familiarizes high school student leaders with the benefits of charitable giving. Wayne County High School students select winners of mini-grants, which are submitted from county schools. Pictured are Jones and members of her class, as well as William Gershey of the foundation.
