HONESDALE, PA — SEEDS (Sustainable Energy Education & Development Support) will present its first forum of 2014 on Tuesday, February 18. The topic will be “Heating Your Home Efficiently.” A second forum, called “Heating Your Water Efficiently,” will be on Tuesday, March 18, discussing the many options for creating domestic hot water. Both will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Park Street Complex, 648 Park St. All are welcome to attend.

Discussions will include comparison of ground source heat pumps, air-to-air source heat pumps, packaged terminal air conditioning, wood/pellet burners, on-demand systems, solar water heating and electric and gas furnaces. Presenters will be two members of SEEDS’ Advisory Committee: Larry Reeger, who lives in Waymart, PA and is a green building educator and assistant professor of green building at SUNY Sullivan, and Gordon Smith, a resident of Honesdale and president of regional company Renewable Energy Solutions.

Registration is preferred. Email jocelyn@seedsgroup.net, or call 570/245-1256. Leave your name and the number of people attending and an email address or phone number to confirm. Also, let them know if you will be attending one or both of these forums.
