JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Local radio station WJFF 90.5 will open its doors on Saturday, February 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. for an open house. All are welcome and encouraged to come see how local community radio is made while the station presents live music during its on-air “Open Mic.”
Visitors will be able to tour the on-site dam that drives the hydro-powered radio station. In addition, volunteers will be on hand to show how the broadcast studio is operated, programs are recorded and edited, and more.
“WJFF’s open house is a great opportunity for listeners and anyone, young or old, interested in learning more about how a radio station works,” says Patrick McCullough, WJFF’s outreach coordinator.
