Wayne County Public Library book clubs for children

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Public Library will hold two book clubs for children in two age groups. The book club for nine- to 12-year-olds will be on Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. Children will listen to a reading of “Big Nate In a Class by Himself,” make a craft and create a snack to go with it. This club encourages expression of opinions, listening and speaking skills as well as building confidence through cooking.

The book club for six to eight year olds will be on Fridays from 4 to 5 p.m. The children will listen to a reading “Judy Moody,” join in activities, and make a craft or snack to go with it. This book club encourages reading skills, speaking and listening skills and sharing ideas skills.
