Humane Society of Port Jervis and Deerpark announce date for Paw Jam

PORT JERVIS, NY — The Humane Society of Port Jervis and Deerpark have announced a date for Paw Jam, a dinner and dance event to be held February 15 at The Erie Trackside Manor. Paw Jam will feature a live band and a small raffle of unique opportunities and items. Raffle items are currently being donated by businesses in the area.

The funds raised through Paw Jam and its raffle will bring new dimensions to the humane society’s mission to ensure the protection and welfare of all animals in need. All proceeds from Paw Jam will go toward kennel redesign, making a healthier, more comfortable environment for our four legged friends.

“Overcrowding is an issue here,” said shelter manager Katrina Rolson. “By submitting a raffle item, you can be part of the solution to this heartbreaking problem and allow us to provide the best care for cats and dogs in need.”

The humane society is seeking sponsorship and raffle donations. Depending on the level of participation, sponsorship may also entitle businesses to a full page advisement in the Paw Jam program, and four free tickets to the event. All available sponsorship packages can be viewed online at www.pjhumane.org.

The Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark is a tax deductible 501(c)3 organization. For more information about making a donation, call the shelter at 845/856-3677 or visit www.pjhumane.org.

Tickets for the event cost $50 per person and sponsorship prices vary from $25 to $250. All are invited to attend and/or support the event. Ticket purchases and donations can be made by contacting katrina.pjhumane@yahoo.com.
