NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA — For the past 30 years, PPL Electric Utilities’ Operation HELP hardship fund has been assisting income-eligible customers who find themselves in crisis, unable to pay their home energy bills—perhaps to a single parent who lost their job, for example, or a neighbor whose illness has taken a financial toll. Since 1983, Operation HELP has assisted more than 86,000 families and distributed more than $24 million.
While winter is a difficult season as temperatures drop and some people struggle to pay their bills and stay warm, needs exist year-round. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping families. The program is administered by a network of local community agencies.
You can find Operation HELP online at www.pplelectric.com/operationhelp.
