I hope everyone had a very nice Christmas, and we all can look forward to a Happy and Healthy New Year. It is that time of year again town taxes, this year you will be able to pay with a credit card.

During the month of January as follows: on Tuesday from

4 to 7 p.m., Thursdays 4 to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cochecton Town Hall located on 74 Smales Rd, Lake Huntington, or contact me for an appointment: Eileen Hennessy, Tax Collector, 295 Mohn Road, Narrowsburg, NY 12764, or call 845/932-8360 x17.

Please make all checks payable to: Eileen Hennessy, Tax Collector, or if paying in cash, please have exact change.

We now have an established vendor that will allow us to accept credit cards on www.taxlookup.net and also in my office. This is done at no charge to the town. The end user pays a 3% + .50 fee for the option to the credit card company.

Remember the Lake Huntington Fire Company and the Ladies Auxiliary are holding a New Year's Day Chicken barbeque dinner from 3 to 6 p.m., takeout only. Tickets cost $12 each and are pre-paid, and each ticket enters you in a raffle for a cord of wood. To get a ticket you can call Betty at 845/932-8378 or Ruthann at 845/932-8514, or you can ask any firefighter. So start off the new year helping out the fire company. Come on out and support them.
