A lucky break leads to two successful years at Stan’s

HONESDALE, PA — Stan and Michelle Rembish, of Stan’s Café at the corner of Routes 6 and 652 in Honesdale, are celebrating their two-year anniversary at the café. The local couple had no prior restaurant experience and took a leap of faith in October 2015 to fulfill Stan’s dream of owning a café.

4-H Youth Fair raises funds

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — A 4-H volunteer teaches a child how to make a free turtle out of craft supplies at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) 4-H Youth Fair, held on August 18-21 in conjunction with Neversink Agriculture Society’s 138th Grahamsville Little World’s Fair.

Wallenpaupack Brewing Company opens

HAWLEY, PA — The Wallenpaupack Brewing Company held a ribbon cutting on Saturday, September 30 at its location, 73 Welwood Ave. Wallenpaupack Brewing Company is a craft brewery and brewpub featuring craft beers on tap; a menu of locally sourced, in-house prepared food; and merchandise. Food and beverages are available through counter service.

MILFORD, PA — The Black Bear Film Festival (BBFF) recently received The Greater Pike Community Foundation (GPCF) for a $4,000 Richard L. Snyder Grant.
