Good Shepherd child care becomes Green Trees

MILFORD, PA — Good Shepherd Child Care Center, Inc., founded in 1985 and located since 2016 at 102 State Route 2001 (previously known as the Muir House), has changed its name to Green Trees Early Learning Center, Inc. and opened new scholarship opportunities. It will celebrate both at a reception on Sunday, December 3 at 3 p.m.

“Green Trees’ mission is to serve children of all backgrounds; to cultivate strong roots in education; and to open doors to the wonders of the world around us,” said Rebecca Lindsey, chair of the Green Trees board of directors. As part of its new identity, the board has established the Green Trees Scholarship Fund. Green Trees has a partnership with Safe Haven of Pike County, Inc. to provide temporary childcare on an emergency basis to children in crisis situations. The newly established scholarship fund will help children’s families that demonstrate financial need, when they do not otherwise qualify for assistance, or for whom federal or state assistance is insufficient.
