Back in my neck of the woods, I ambled over to the Old North Branch Inn to check out the Karen Hudson River Band debut its new album “Sonic Bloom.” Hudson ( entertained a large, enthusiastic crowd and I was delighted to see the place ( hopping. Proprietor Victoria Lesser has “big plans” for the season (and beyond), and Hudson’s original, autobiographical songs were heartfelt combinations of bluegrass, country and rock.
