Hearts and minds needed

On February 15 and 16, Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development and NACL Theater will present a symposium on climate change at the Highland Senior Center in Eldred, NY. This collaboration has been a great joy, and I have once again found inspiration in the lessons of Jacob Bronowski. If we are going to solve the problem of climate change, we must use everything we know as individuals and as a community: our skills, talents, insight and imagination, our knack for collaboration and our ability to change, and above all our commitment to speak the truth to each other. We must get beyond false dichotomies and embrace a new “both/and” paradigm, so that we can have both a healthy environment and a thriving economy. As another of my favorite thinkers, Buckminster Fuller, has said, “If humanity does not opt for integrity, we are through completely. It is absolutely touch and go. Each one of us could make the difference.”

Come join the discussion and learn how you can make a difference.
