Narrowsburg St. Patrick’s Parade

The first annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will march down the streets of Narrowsburg on March 17 at 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Narrowsburg Inn, Roto-Rooter Plumbing, Enviroventures and VIP Restroom Trailers. The Grand Marshal will be Lou “Big Al” Ferriger.  Read more

Fireworks, flagpoles and firearms; Tusten gets closer to final decisions

While no resolution has been made concerning the Narrowsburg fireworks, steps have been taken to reach a final decision. At a town board meeting on February 12, councilman Anthony Ritter read a report from the fireworks committee detailing those steps.  Read more

Relief for trout proposed

At a meeting of the Water Use and Resource Management Committee of the Upper Delaware Council (UDC) on February 19, Columbia Professor Emeretis Peter Kolesar of New York City and Eldred, and Jim Serio of Hancock presented a proposal to relieve thermal stress on trout in the coldwater fisheries of the Upper Delaware by releasing precisely targeted pulses from the reservoirs (see information box below for details).  Read more
