The Tusten Town Board voted three to two to support the Solution Project and their attempt to purchase the mothballed Narrowsburg School building, and turn it into a food innovation center. Andrea Reynosa, who is spearheading the project, said it will be an education and innovation center in a partnership with SUNY Sullivan. Read more
The visitors center, which initially was planned to be installed at the Cochecton Train Station, and was later planned to be installed at the Fort Delaware property, is now apparently dead. In an email to the Upper Delaware Council, Scott Samuelson, chairman of the Sullivan County Legislature, wrote, “It appears that there are just too many questions regarding the stakeholders, funding, ongoing commitment, etc. to continue the quest for the visitors center at Fort Delaware at this time.
