The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 52-year-old John Armbruster in connection with the robbery of the First National Bank of Jeffersonville branch in Eldred. Armbruster was taken into custody on February 24. Read more

Sullivan County District Attorney Jim Farrell announced today that the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, has affirmed the convictions of Donald Blume, now age 34, of Livingston Manor, N.Y. Blume was convicted after a jury trial in November of 2009 in Sullivan County Court and was sentenced to 22 years in state prison for two counts of Robbery in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, all violent felonies. The Sullivan County Legislature voted on Thursday to do away with the steering committee that met once a week to go over policy matters. The committee was made up of three of the nine elected legislators and the county manager. Read more
